Operations Manager (with special responsibility for delivering building projects)

Full time for 18 months, dropping to part time, with possibility to maintain full time depending on building project funding  


Do you have the church operational skills and gospel passion to unlock the potential of our buildings and free church members and ministers for mission and ministry?  
 
Holy Trinity Church and the Forge group of churches are seeking a self-motivated capable operations manager who can hit the ground running and immerse themselves in how the churches presently run whilst taking the lead in the development of our buildings. Reporting to the Vicar of Holy Trinity and working as part of the Holy Trinity staff team the postholder in this new role will bring energy and creativity to develop effective systems and processes that enable us to achieve our five-year renewals outcomes whilst unlocking the potential of our buildings across the four churches.  
 
You will have a heart for mission, an eye for details and understand the challenges of working in low-income areas. You will have a high standard of service in respect of both governance and releasing church members and ministers for their ministries.  

The successful candidate will have: 
  • Excellent organisational and relational skills     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear ability to discern the best medium for a particular situation 
  • A track record of sensitively managing change, particularly with volunteers. 
  • A positive team-working attitude 
  • Experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters 
 
Location:           Holy Trinity Church, Old Hill, B64 6RD 
Salary:               £32,268 gross (plus 5% pension) 
Hours:               37.5 hours per week

Selection Process
All applications are subject to shortlisting. Panel interviews are usually held in person. The recruitment process usually consists of a panel interview and a task relevant to the role. Some processes may also involve a presentation.
